There are plans in the works for trips to Ireland Italy Paris and maybe some Nordic country(Denmark or Sweden or something) as well as Amsterdam Belgium Germany Prague and Vienna (the last 4 in the week after classes end and yes Tommy I know you hate me). I wish we had more weekends and technically I do but I do want some in London/England for exploratory missions.

Other info: I'm living with 5 other American girls which is a dissapointment since the most diversity we have in our flat is that one of us is from the west coast but they're all awesome and we have fun. Everyone's been getting sick but hopefully tons of tea and some vitamins will keep us alive.

Thats about it for now, miss everyone!

Oh and PS, I've blown up outlets twice!

Todays my last day in North Carolina. Tomorrow I leave for NY and I'll stay with Bari for the night, and then we'll leave for London the next night...

Ah!!!!! I'm really excited I can't believe it's already here. I've been planning on it for years, I always said I would do it, and now I actually am! How often does that happen?

I'm a little worried about the flight. Not because of flying (i <3 flying) but bc I had a root canal the other day and so now I'm paranoid that will act up or my ears will freak or something sucky like that, not thats they're related...

I'll try and keep this up or I may start an "official" Blog like a few other people I know

I'll keep you posted!
So every year around this time I start to get really antsy and wanna see people who I don't see every day...by every year i mean it happened last year and now its happening this year... Last year was my impromptu trip to Boston, now this year is the city w/ kc kerri and marc for Rent probably the last time we'll all see it together....really sad

This semester has been soooo long I can't even believe that it's all been the same school year. This school year began with a new building new people and a glucose tolerance test, quickly progressed to emily being rushed to the hospital, getting to know dave and all the complications that came with them finally getting together and then being extremely awkward, somewhere in there I told my teacher/ advisor that I didn't care about his class and pressed on through printmaking (no pun intended) it's so crazy that those classes were just last semester and that Prague was almost a year ago it's just been so long....

I haven't been to LI since january, and even then i barely saw anyone. It's almost the end of the year and i dont really have time to take any more trips outside of whats already planned, (NY this weekend, NJ next weekend for passover) but I miss everyone and i wanna go home (LI home)

On the other home front, i wanna see people in NC briefly, i'm really hoping i'll see nicky while i'm home, hearing from her on my birthday was absolutely unexpected and it made me so happy, a week is long enough to be there though, but from there i go straight up to maine (short stop in PA/LI just to move doug out before we go up and see my friends graduate--again WEIRD) so i don't really get a chance to see people at home...

then i have a few weeks before london and hopefully i'll be able to see people on LI...i think there should be one bed left in grandmas house so when people need to do work on the house/ or in the area involving the house have a place to stay (the obvious alterior motive here being so I can stay at the house and operate out of it when i want to visit my friends) but I'd really like to see people in the first few weeks of september before I go, though I do need to spend some time in NC i suppose

some people have been talking about going over early and getting some traveling and sight seeing done before hand. we'll see what time looks like....

i dont know what the point of this was but I miss people....and at the same time I'm really really really looking forward to Maine and meeting new people (this seems to be a sophomore theme it happened in HS too when i spent the summer at NYSSSA) who knows....

So short but fun week..

Monday it was announced that Bill Clinton would be coming to speak at our school on behalf of Hillary's campaign on wednesday, so come wed. i skipped class to go see him he was an hour late but angela, emily, mara and i were right up front and angela and i got to shake his hand, he was really cool to listen to and pretty funny,

"when you become president you start to think you are somebody, when you walk into a room, they play hail to the chief, do you know what its like to have people play a song every time you walk into a room? For three weeks after I left office I didn't know where I was cuz nobody played a song! And traffic in DC is terrible, but not when you're the president, you get in the black car with those flags and you just go you don't stop for red lights anywhere! And your plane is so cool, they make movies about it! And when you go to bed at night, it's in the best government public housing in the country!"

I'm in Jersey with my friend Emily and her family for Easter break, we got in last night and we'll be here till Monday when we head back to school.

Have a Happy Easter!!! *or if you celebrated Purim, hope it was fun!*

h
OL
a

so i'd like to open with the Lehigh Valley Airport is fucked up. I'm sitting in it right now. Emily and I left around 5 to get to the airport and its supposed to be like 10 minutes away okay w/e.

whatever? Ever.

1- traffic
2-dark
3- no signs!!!!!!

we went two towns too far in one direction, and then came back, went about a town over in the other direction, came back and at this point we're driving parallel to the airport and we just can not figure out how to get in for the life of us. then we see someone signaling to somewhere where it doesn't look like theres a road and we're like we're following them, and we do. so we follow and theres a tiny sign that says Airport -->.
yea. so we follow it and we rejoice in our girly fashion. So the airport is basically like 1980's tiny baby airport and has not been touched since its inception. There are a total of 3 people (myself included) in the terminal, not just the gate, the entire terminal...or from what i can see from here and it's two other girls about my age obviously just trying to get home for break, like myself. Right now the flights delayed like 45 minutes so i'll probably get to philly at like 8:30ish and then my flight from philly to greensboro is still supposed to be on time so i dont get to do the annoying get to the airport at like 1AM thing. (yay!) and theres free wireless so I'm happy

So my paper is 85% done--length wise it's really 90% done but because I still have to do footnotes and such we'll say 85%

I realized after I somehow passed set design that I haven't seen my brother since May at his graduation which was like 6 months ago. Way to be weird.

Anyway, I'll return to making up stuff about theater and South Africa and apartheid and fun stuff like that.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I feel like I'm not doing anything I want to this semester. I really am going crazy as a design major, the main reason for that being that, I don't want to design!!!! I want to paint, and yes I need to understand design for that, and then part of me doesn't want to spend my entire life painting, which puts me in point zero. My teacher told me I had to pretend that I cared and make him see that I understand what he's talking about or else I'll probably be sitting in his office being taught things until I understand...which I can't handle without going crazy or having what resembles a break down. I feel like I've put this weird pressure on myself to be the normal one and not be mentally fucked, that I gave myself a complex, and I kind of prefer to have come to that conclusion myself rather than have my wanna be buddhist adviser think he understands and tell me how to deal. The academically logical thing to do is to transfer somewhere with my program but I don't want to leave. I like it here, I like the people in the shop, and I like working with my adviser on painting and stuff. I'd just be an art major if I didn't think I needed a theater degree for a job later in life ( a job I don't know if I'll always want).

I'm also pledging APO...I don't think I want to pledge APO and I'm seriously considering just stopping but I feel like I'm stuck. I'll probably drop it, it seems like the best thing right now. I can still volunteer and do good stuff without being with a group.

One problem solved at least. Now I just need to act like I care until December.
